__Gary M. Burge__ (PhD, University of Aberdeen) is professor of New Testament at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. His published works include The New Testament in Antiquity (with Lynn H. Cohick and Gene L. Green); Jesus and the Land; Jesus, the Middle Eastern Storyteller; and NIV Application Commentary volumes on John and on the Johannine Letters.
