Anna Smith is the wife of Delirious? lead singer, Martin Smith, and the sister of band member John Thatcher. Anna and Martin founded CompassionArt, which raises money through art and music to help the poor around the world. The Smiths have six children and live in the seaside village of Rustington, England.

This was a surprise Christmas present from my husband... But it was so worth buying! This book is a very honest and truthful account of a massive journey from how Anna and Martin got together and the beginnings of Martin's band taking off and hitting the world in a global way and changing our ways of worshipping in churches by offering this new way of worship style... Whilst all this is going on Martin and Anna become a family from just the two of them to a family of 8. There is hilarious jewels of normal family life that I could so identify with (children and spouse mis understandings,etc!) and there were moments of tear jerking trauma in the family, Anna Smith has held nothing back in creating a truly amazing insight into the world of being a wife of a truly amazing and world changing Christian band whilst trying to hold all the pieces of family life together. I definitely recommend this to anyone, but will appeal to women a lot more. Ladies who have been delirious ? Fans this is for you!

A hilarious and at times heart breaking read, honesty and real life.

The Good Book Stall

I smiled my way through nearly all of this book, but it does reach a point when Anna and her husband have to make some very big decisions that will change their lives yet again, though there were still smiles during this serious bit.  
Anna is married to Martin Smith of Delirious? fame, and her descriptions of their life together and their growing family, Martin’s frequent times away on tour, American tours when the entire families of the band went too, and daily living, are told with such lively honesty that any Mum will enjoy reading this. I am smiling as I write this review, remembering little incidents that I recognised so well from raising my four.  
Anna’s description of the poverty that the family encountered in India and Uganda brought tears to my eyes, but again, their response is to do something about it, and of course being the characters they are they throw themselves into the new endeavour with conviction that they are doing God’s will, as they had in their work with Delirious? But now it was time to move on. Finally, Anna sets out the principles which guide her through raising her large family and keeping her marriage secure, wise advice that we can all usefully heed.  
A delight to read, highly recommended.
