First impression: very smart! This is probably because this book is intended for use by the celebrant at Communion without having to print out the relevant pieces beforehand.  
For those of us who like to mark the festivals of the Christian year this is a real gift, with some excellent prayers, preface and blessings.  
Although designed for Eucharistic use, various prayers, especially the forms of intercession, could be valuable in non-Eucharistic services, as could the blessings.  
Using this book will add a richness to Common Worship services throughout the year and I look forward to using it very much.
