Common Worship as appraised by this ‘ten years on’ book, is definitely not an end, and is more appropriately seen as a beginning, and in some respects as even a cul-de-sac. We shall await further developments; which incidentally is good or bad news for liturgical text publishers...  
The value of the essays in this collection varies. Some seem highly optimistic, especially with regard to a ‘Service of the Word’ where identifying what remains Anglican in such a liturgy, becomes extremely difficult. The most penetrating and stimulating contributions come for Angela Tilby – ‘Whatever happened to original sin?’ and the Archbishop of Canterbury whose introduction could have been taken up throughout the book.
