Raymond was the author of many widely-used books of prayer and devotion including Leading Intercessions, Hear Our Prayer, and A Pastoral Prayer Book. He was a Vice-Chairman of the Prayer Book Society, Emeritus Professor of English Literature in the University of London, and a greatly loved priest in the diocese of Southwark. He died in 2013.

Sadly, the first book which arrived had faulty gluing of book spine and hard cover, causing them to seperate. However, I spoke to a most helpful lady who immediately apologised and said she would put another copy in the post. This she did and it was received withing a couple of days. It was a present to my friend, a retired priest, and was to replace his older, well used edition. As she requested, he has passed the original one onto a local church. Thank you for a wonderful, prompt, efficient service.
