His previous books include In Search of the Lost: The Death and Life of Seven Peacemakers of the Melanesian Brotherhood (Canterbury Press, 2012). Sam Wells is Vicar of St Martin-in-the-Fields. Formerly Dean of Duke University Chapel, North Carolina, he is also Visiting Professor of Christian Ethics at King's College London. He has published over 20 books, most recently Hanging by a Thread: The Challenge of the Cross (Canterbury Press, 2016) and How Then Shall We Live? Christian Engagement with Contemporary Issues (Canterbury Press, 2016).
